There was this book on anatomy I found really useful – Drawing the living figure by Joseph Sheppard. Been playing with it for a while, here’s some of the images I made¬†while doing those exercises..

Did some digging around my doodle folders and I found these. Done in Painter over past few years, if I remember correctly.

2000 AD
You know the 80’s 2000AD mag – the one with Judge Dredd, Halo Jones.. The one with legends like Brian Bolland, Simon Bisley, Grant Morrison, Dave Gibbons, Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore working for it at one time or another. This is what I would have done if drawing a comic in 2000AD style as it was in the eighties. I did mess with the Notre Dame proportions for this in order to achieve better composition. To my defense, she’s anatomically correct in the comic.

This is what I imagine master Tezuka would have done. I used the Internet as my source for translating the title to Japanese, so I can only hope it does say “Moon and Monster”, and not something utterly innapropriate. If it does, I apologise to Japanese people.
